AEROSPACE FINE ART
Hello! Sterling here, heres a bit about why I do this. I am both an aviation artist and an aircraft mechanic, currently training at SAIT in Calgary Alberta. However, I find artwork a means in which I can participate in the beauty of the subject I am illustrating, and I find myself astonished as I am able to include myself in the beauty of flight.
I specializes in the design of representations of aeronautical machinery within traditional art mediums. Each piece is uniquely illustrated to bring the heritage, story, and the ‘feel’ of the subject to life, through the design process. Although I am currently in aircraft maintenance, I may consider expanding my involvement into flight activities in the future...
Displayed across the site are products, services, and designs offered by Sterling Aviation Art to museums, galleries, and to private collectors.
Of Western Canada
I’ve had the privilege of working with the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada in Winnipeg, a world-class institution dedicated to preserving Canada’s rich aviation history. They have generously chosen to carry both my art prints and postcards in their gift shop—each piece illustrating iconic and historical aircraft. I’m truly grateful for their support and investment in my work.
I've also have had the privilege of working with the Alberta Aviation Museum and it's staff in Edmonton, to have both my art prints and postcards available on display and for sale. The postcards available feature aircraft on display at the museum, and can be found in their gift shop.
